Travel & Stay

Travel

Flying

If you’re flying to the wedding, we recommend booking your flight into Louisville International Airport (SDF).

It’s the closest and most convenient airport, with easy access to highways, hotels, and where the wedding will take place.

Many airport-area hotels offer free shuttle service to and from the airport.

Getting around

Louisville is a sprawling city, so travel between hotels, the airport, and wedding activities will take some time.

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft can be pricey, especially on busy weekends. We recommend renting a car, driving, or carpooling whenever possible. If multiple guests are staying at the same hotel, coordinating rides may be helpful.

Please plan to leave extra buffer time when traveling between locations, particularly around event start times.

Stay

Where you stay will depend on what you value most when you travel. Below are a few hotel options we recommend, each with its own perks depending on price point, amenities, and location.

Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport & Expo Center

Located right by the airport, this is a great option if you want a simple arrival and departure. It offers a full-service hotel experience with an on-site restaurant and bar, and it’s a popular choice for travelers who prioritize convenience.

Hilton Garden Inn Louisville East (Blankenbaker)

This is a reliable, straightforward option if you’re looking for something clean, comfortable, and less expensive. It’s close to the highway, making it easy to get around, without paying for extra amenities you may not use.

Approximately 30 minutes to the wedding by car (without traffic)

Louisville Marriott East

This is the nicest hotel in the immediate area and a great choice if you prefer a more elevated stay. It’s a full-service Marriott with a restaurant, bar, and larger rooms, and it’s conveniently located right off the highway.

The Talbott Inn | Bardstown, KY

If you’re turning the wedding into a little getaway, Bardstown is an adorable, historic town on the Bourbon Trail. The Talbott Inn is right in the center of town, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and distilleries. This option is perfect if you love a walkable downtown and a more destination-style stay, though it is much farther from the airport.
